Our quilts are measured laid out completely flat with the footbox unbuttoned, drawcords loosened, and pulled tight.

If choosing a Sewn Footbox there is no need in ordering up a size all sizing heights are good no matter the footbox style.

Quilts should go to your chin and snap/cinch around your neck.  You should never pull the quilt over your head as condensation from your breath can adversely effect the performance of the Down fill.  We recommend a balaclava, hat or separate hood to provide insulation for your head.

  • Width refers to the measurement at the very top of the quilt.
  • Length is From the top of the quilt to the bottom with the quilt laid flat.
  • All quilts are cut with a full taper.
  • All Footboxes measure 48″ pulled tight at the bottom edge.
  • Weights vary slightly from Quilt to Quilt depending on fabric choices and footbox style.

Pad Attachment

  • All Quilts come with a set of 2 pad straps.
  • Pad Straps should go under your pad and extend half way up the side of your inflated sleeping pad.
  • You should never tighten pad straps to a point that your quilt is pulled under your pad.

Big Thanks to George, who took my info over the phone. My transaction was complicated as I wanted to use a gift card and a credit card.
It was a lot of extra work for him but he willingly did it. He also kept me informed via email. Wonderful customer service!
I purchased the 10 degree LeConte Topquilt 8/16/19 and I’m glad I did. It took 3 weeks and was well worth the wait. I’m 5′ 6″, 135 lbs. Bought the short, regular, 15D Camo, snap drawstring. Easy to use straps. I used it in September in Bear Mountain, NY. Weather was around mid-60’s at night so I can’t vouch for its warmth. But it was comfortable. It was used with the Thermarest neoair uberlite. The warmth factor will be tested mid-November. Its a beautiful quilt.

Just received my quilt so I haven’t tried it out in the field yet. Quality seems excellent. Looking forward to trying it out.

I finally got to test my Leconte 10 degree quilt during a 3 night backpacking trip in the Mahoosuc Range in Maine. The nighttime temps were in the upper 30’s and low 40’s. I am a 57 yo female and tend to sleep cold and I was comfortably warm using a silk liner along with the quilt. I chose a wide because I am a side sleeper. I didn’t feel constricted like I always did using a mummy sleeping bag. The quilt is quality made and communication and customer service is great at CRO.

Great feel to the bag and a gorgeous pattern. The bags run long compared to some other manufacturers bags like EE.
