LeConte Topquilt

  • Regular Length – 76″ (fits 5’7″-6′)
  • Short Length – 72″ (fits < 5’7″)
  • Long Length – 82″ (fits 6′-6’6″)
  • Regular Width – 52″
  • Wide Width – 56″

Our quilts are measured laid out completely flat with the footbox unbuttoned, drawcords loosened, and pulled tight.

If choosing a Sewn Footbox there is no need in ordering up a size all sizing heights are good no matter the footbox style.

Quilts should go to your chin and snap/cinch around your neck.  You should never pull the quilt over your head as condensation from your breath can adversely effect the performance of the Down fill.  We recommend a balaclava, hat or separate hood to provide insulation for your head.

  • Width refers to the measurement at the very top of the quilt.
  • Length is From the top of the quilt to the bottom with the quilt laid flat.
  • All quilts are cut with a full taper.
  • All Footboxes measure 48″ pulled tight at the bottom edge.
  • Weights vary slightly from Quilt to Quilt depending on fabric choices and footbox style.  On average a Sewn Footbox is 1.5 ounces lighter than a Snap/Drawstring.  10D Outer material will save 1-1.5 ounces depending on size.

Pad Attachment

  • All Quilts come with a set of 2 pad straps.
  • Pad Straps should go under your pad and extend half way up the side of your inflated sleeping pad.
  • You should never tighten pad straps to a point that your quilt is pulled under your pad.

This is my first quilt. I’m sold on Cedar Ridge! Their quality and construction is unsurpassed. I truly feel the quality is better than my Western Mountaineering sleeping bag. Warren is a joy to work with and he will go all out to make sure you get the quilt that YOU want! Thank you!!

This is the second quilt I have purchased from CRO. The first was a custom quilt they made for my dog. The quality of CRO’s products are great. I highly recommend them.

The quilt is very nice and warm. however be very careful of the fine print. if you look at the website and expect a size you will be disappointed. As Warren will say if you contact him our quilts are measured laying flat. it does say that, but the next line says there is no reason to up size if you choose a sown foot box. Most companies will say if you are a side or stomach sleeper upsize. This says no need.
I had problems with placing an order and contacted Warren to help me place the order he was not the most welcoming ceo, but he did take some time with me. my order was placed and I received my quilt. A regular wide comes out at 70 inches long. I had a talk with him this morning about the issue of size, again he was a little stand offish. I still think this is a company worth trying just really mind your p’s and q’s. I am ordering an another quilt but it is going to be from another company.

First quilt experience and I am blown away! The weight to warmth ratio is a game changer and I loved the ability to get a custom print. Above all else, the comfort ratings were so accurate and relevant to real world use, I wish all companies used this system!

I really like this 10 degree quilt. Received at Christmas 2018!. Plan to order another quilt in near future. Had to figure some things out–as a ground dweller, and first quilt. Works great w/ my Neoair, 34F this trip. Thank you, Cedar Ridge!

My wife loves her top quilt. So much that she has agreed to go hammock camping. Now I get to get her an under quilt. lol

The quilt is beautiful and very well made. I ordered a 20 degree quilt with Liquify Ocean fabric for the outside and Titanium Grey for the inside. I do a lot of sea kayak camping, and the quilt fabric looks like swirling, moving water – just perfect for me! I have not camped with it yet, but judging by the loft of the quilt, I don’t think that I will have any problems staying warm during spring and late fall camping. The quilt was worth waiting for!

Received my quilt just before Christmas, as promised by Warren. I have not had the chance to test it out properly yet, but the quality of the workmanship looks good. Another big positive is the customer service – it’s always great to be able to speak directly with the owner to ensure that you are getting exactly what you want. Thank you CRO for an awesome product!

This was my first backpacking quilt, and I thoroughly researched EVERY cottage vendor before I made my purchase. I’m so happy I chose CRO! The workmanship exceeded my already-high expectations, and Warren’s recommendations on sizing and temperature proved spot-on. When combined with a competitive price for the LeConte and the fact that you are supporting a small business that uses ethically-sourced products, there is literally no downside to this company or this quilt.

This is by far my new favorite piece of gear. This thing is incredibly light and warm. The staff at Cedar Ridge is second to none. Their customer service is beyond expectation. Thank you guys (and Patty) for a fantastic piece of gear. Well worth the money. Can’t wait to get an underquilt.

I bought two LeConte quilts – one for me and one for the wife (20* and 30* respectively). They are amazingly warm and well made. And with some Prym1 prints they look great! Kept me toasty in some 31* weather even without socks on!

I chose to buy a quilt from CRO for the quality American handmade craftsmanship. I have a LeConte 40 Long/Wide with a sewn footbox because I am tall and a side sleeper. I saw other people on the trails with CRO quilts so I asked to check them out and was very impressed. There is a saying in Life, Anything worth having, is worth waiting for. That could not be more true about a CRO quilt, you may have to wait for it (because it is being handmade to your specifications) but once you receive it, you will discover it was worth the wait. I sleep like a warm baby out on the trail. Thank you very much Warren, you make first class USA products.

This quilt is my go to for any overnight adventure now. I went with a 0 degree bag for some cold nights in the Sierras, and so far has kept me warm in any situation. The quality of the quilt is top notch! I would highly recommend this quilt to anyone out there!

So let me start with.. I’m big! I’m claustrophobic, I have never used a top quilt, and was about to give up hammock camping! Then i talked to Warren and he made my quality of life so much better! Amazing colors, arrow straight stitching, no more feeling suffocated, cinch string footbox. Wow.. what an amazing product from such a down to earth guy. I can’t thank you enough Warren! Your products are unbeatable in my opinion!
